Two new books available!
ANZAC Biscuits
This is a touching story of a family torn apart by war but brought together through the powerful simplicity of ANZAC Biscuits.
Giraffe, Elephant, Hippo and Baboon all live by the lake, happily going about their own business until one day Giraffe spies the shadow of Lion – prowling … creeping … stalking … sneaking.
What are they to do now?
With a little Cooperation, problem solving and the developing of friendships they find a way to keep themselves safe.
Night Watch is a rhythmically raucous, read-a-loud story.
‘Wilbur’ DVD is on the way!
Phil has recently been involved in a partnership between the Big Book Club and My Language
to create video and audio resources based on his book Wilbur illustrated by Amanda Graham. The
multilingual children’s picture book is a first of its kind in Australia with 10,000 distributed free to
new arrivals families since its release in 2010. Building on the success of the book a multilingual
video and audio resource have been developed. The result is a series of book readings available to
watch and listen to in 14 different languages. The DVD will be available to borrow in every public
library across Australia from September 2012.

‘Winter’s Blanket’ Out Now!
Phil’s stunning new picture book Winter’s Blanket is out now.

Illustrated by the incredible Donna Gynell, Winter’s Blanket explores the theme of anxiety. It touches on the importance of questioning and family support in finding a way through those anxious times.
It is a gentle story of innocent discovery. A story full of hope, knowing that, no matter how harsh winter can be, spring will always come.
Copies of the book are now available from Pegi Williams Bookshop
